SMITH, Michael - It is with deep sadness that the family of Michael Smith announce his sudden passing in North Bay on October 19, 2007 at the age of 66 years. Michael leaves to mourn his wife Brenda (nee Shaw) of Kirkland Lake; his beloved children Phill Smith of Kirkland Lake, Amanda Smith- Seaward of Chelmsford and Vivienne Smith of Kirkland Lake. Greatly missed by his grandchildren Jessica, Savannah and Dawson Smith, Kasey-Lyn and Shaun- Michael Seaward, Melissa and Meghan Norman. Remembered by his sister-in-law Hilary Behenna & her husband Norman of England. Michael was a proud and hardworking man who was born on July 6, 1941 in Blackpool, England. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1978. Once in Canada he worked for many large engineering companies as well as in the mining industry and was proud of being able to provide for his family. The Smith family will welcome friends at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, 705-567-3565) on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the “ Teck- Hughes“ Chapel of the Funeral Home with the Rev.
