CAIN, Leo - March 28, 1936 - November 1st, 2007 The Family announces with sorrow the sudden passing of Leo at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, November 1st, 2007 at the age of 71. Beloved husband and best friend of Beverly and dearest father of Ken (Michelle) of Peterborough and Patti Robertson (Richard) of South Porcupine. Cherished grandfather of Sean and Bryan Robertson and Sarah and Micheal Cain. Also survived by his siblings Pat Cain (Janet) of Winnipeg, Linda Lemire (Aurèle) of Alliston and a brother in law Delbert Duquette of North Bay as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Lydia Cain, his infant son Micheal as well as his sister Lena Duquette. Leo was a loving and dedicated father who always put family first and lived for his grandchildren whom he cherished dearly. He retired after 33 years of service as Sergeant with the Ontario Provincial Police which he was extremely proud to be part of. He was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus council 1917 Cochrane, as well as a member of the Monsignor A. Cournoyer 4th degree assembly 0886. Leo loved golf and was very happy to pass along the love of the game to his grandchildren. As a Memorial to Leo, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows, memories live. Family will receive friends at the SALONS FUNÉRAIRES IRVINE & IRVINE FUNERAL HOMES, 149 Third Street West, Cochrane, on Sunday, November 4th, 2007 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial in Transfiguration Church on Monday, November 5,2007 at 3 pm with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. A private family interment will be held in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery.
