HOLDEN, Robert Douglas (Bob) - entered into rest peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in his 71st year. Son of the Late Horace and Christina Holden. Beloved husband and dearest friend of Marilyn Kay Holden (Nee: Peters). Survived by his sister Barbara Wilson of Victoria B.C., Nephews; Hal, Mark, Jeff, Scott, Doug and Nieces; Karen, Susan, Lisa and Tracey. A graduate in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta. Bob will be greatly missed by The Big Eight Harmonizers, The Trentones, Belleville Cyclopaths, Quinte Model Shipwrights and his many friends across Canada. His family is forever greatful to the many Doctors, Nurses and Health care professionals in the Quinte and Northumberland area and The Kingston Regional Cancer Centre for their compassion, dedication and professionalism in caring for Bob over the past 16 months. Friends are invited to call at the STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL, 87 James St., Stirling on Monday, November 12, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the Eugene Burrell Hall at the Stirling Festival Theatre on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Cremation. If desired, as expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Oncology Depts at BGH and KGH, Harmonizers for Speech, the Restoration Fund at Maritime Museum, Kingston the RCAF Memorial Museum or the Rotary Club, Stirling.
