ROTHGEB, Robert (Bob) - Died suddenly on Sunday, September 5, 2004. A longtime resident of the 7th Concession, Lancaster, Bob also owned and operated The Old Book Store on Montreal Road in Cornwall for several years. He was also an active participant in and supporter of local theatre. Born Robert Richard Rothgeb in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1933 and married Susan Courson in 1955. He moved his family to Montreal in 1966 later becoming a naturalized Canadian citizen. He is survived by wife Sue, children, Liz (Dr. Adam Steacie) of Maitland and Rob (Heather McGillis) of Prescott, and by his grandchildren, Aaron and Carolyn Steacie, Emily, Shawna and Charlotte Rothgeb. Bob is also survived by three sisters, Edwina, Danae Rose and Georgia as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, (525-2772) on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the Service. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the S.P.C.A., S.D. & G. Branch, 550 Boundary Rd., Cornwall, K6H 6J5. As a Memorial to Bob, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows – memories live.
