Allan E. Marttila 1962-2004 Marttila - It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of “Boobie” Allan Edward Marttila at the age of 41 years. Allan was predeceased by his father Donald Marttila, his brother Donnie Marttila and his step-father Richard Deslaurier. He will be sadly missed by his mother Yvonne Deslaurier, his sisters Debbie (Gary) of King Kirkland, Sheryl Wilson (James) of Kirkland Lake, Kelly Burak (John) of Kirkland Lake, his brother Ritchie Deslaurier of Kirkland Lake, and his children Cassandra Doty and Jordon Marttila of Kirkland Lake; his step children Angela, Roger and Tara. Also left to mourn are Allan’s many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and by his very close friends Art and Wanda Strojny, Kevin and Sue Schraeder and Marcel and Rita Gerard. Allan loved fishing and spending time with his friends. He touched many with his sense of humor and his kind nature. Donations in Allan’s memory may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation. The family will welcome friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Friday September 24, 2004 from 10:00 to 12:00 (noon). The service will be held from the “Teck-Hughes Chapel” of the Monette & French Funeral Home on Friday at 12:00 (noon) with the Rev. Edna Murdy officiating.
