Laurance Ben FULLER

FULLER, Laurance Ben Lieut. Artillary WWII "6th A/T REGIMENT RCA" 1922 - 2007 Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Friday, November 23, 2007. Loving husband and best friend of Peggi (Hibbert) Fuller. He will be sadly missed by his children Peter (Dianne) Toronto, Louise (Blake) Canmore AB, Nancy (Dennis) Kelowna BC, John - Victoria BC. and stepchildren Stephen (Tammy) Fredericton NB, Jennifer (Kevin) Newcastle, Heather - South Korea. Very special grandfather to Stephanie, Marshall, Charles Olivier, Katie and Shannon, special "Buppa" to Michael, Kimberly, Jessica, Ben and Sophie. Predeceased by his parents Gwendolyn and Laurance Fuller, Montreal. Ben was born and lived in Montreal until 1991, moved to Thousand Islands, Ontario where he and Peggi operated The Country Shed. In 2004, they relocated to The Loyalist Country Club. Ben graduated from McGill (Commerce '46). Ben was an advertising executive from 1949-1969 in Montreal. He was very active in the development of skiing in Canada. Skiing was his passion. Ben was executive director of NSIA 1969-1989 organizing ski trade shows in Montreal/Calgary/Vancouver. He helped form the Canadian Ski Council, was the council's first chairman as well as being first chairman of the National Ski Team Fund which raised a million dollars for international competition. He organized and administered "Ski East", an association of ski areas in the Eastern Townships and Northern Vermont. At Ben's request cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ben's life will take place on Saturday December 1, 2007 at the Loyalist Country Club, Bath, Ontario between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. In memory of Ben, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. - Kingston General Hospital.
