LA FAMILLE LAVALLÉE a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de M. PAUL ROY LAVALLÉE, ing. d'Aylmer, décédé le 23 novembre à l'âge de 76 ans. Il était le fils de Thérèse Roy Lavallée et de Théodule Lavallée, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Yolande Poissant; ses filles: Christine et Annie et ses fils Pierre et Francis; sa soeur Suzanne Grimm (Pierre Grimm); ses frères: Georges, Roch (Esther Bouchard) et Louis (Lise Pelletier); et neuf petits-enfants: Virginie, Pierre Maxim, Camille, Sophie, Florence, Madeleine, Isabelle, Juliette et Téa. Né à Jonquière, gradué du Collège Militaire Royal de St-Jean (classe de 1952), du Royal Military College de Kingston et diplômé de génie électrique et mécanique de McGill, il a atteint le grade de lieutenant-colonel et officier commandant du 6e bataillon de la milice du Royal 22e Régiment. Président régional (Drummond) de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, commissaire d'école, président-fondateur du Collège régional Bourgchemin (Drummondville, St-Hyacinthe et Sorel), il fut fonctionnaire fédéral de 1973 jusqu'à sa retraite en 1996. Les funérailles auront lieu à l'église St-Paul d'Aylmer, mardi le 27 novembre 2007. La famille recevra les condoléances à partir de 12h30 et les funérailles auront lieu à 13h30. Son of Therese Roy Lavallee and Theodule Lavallee, he is survived by his wife Yolande Poissant, his daughters Christine and Annie and his sons Pierre and Francis; his sister Suzanne Grimm (Pierre Grimm), his brothers Georges, Roch (Esther Bouchard) and Louis (Lise Pelletier); and nine grand-children: Virginie, Pierre Maxim, Camille, Sophie, Florence, Madeleine, Isabelle, Juliette and Tea. Born in Jonquiere, he graduated from College Militaire Royal de St-Jean (class of '52, from the Royal Military College and obtained his degree in electrical and mechanical engineering at McGill University. He reached the rank of lieutenant-colonel and commanding officer of the 6th Battalion of the Royal 22nd Regiment. Regional president (Drummond) of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec, school trustee, Founding Board Chairman of College regional Bourgchemin (Drummondville, St-Hyacinthe and Sorel), he was a federal civil servant from 1973 until he retired from the Treasury Board in 1996. Funeral services will be held at St-Paul Church in Aylmer, Tuesday November 27th, 2007. The family will accept condolences from 12:30 and the service will begin at 1:30.
