LAFRENIÈRE, Marcel - The family announces with sorrow, his peaceful death, Wednesday, November 21st, 2007 at the age of 72 years. Son of the late Alcide and of the late Isabelle (née Savignac) Lafrenière. Beloved husband of Jeanne d'Arc Labelle-Lafrenière (née Paradis) of Blezard Valley and of the late Germaine Lafrenière (née Rainville). Loving father of Evelyne Lefebvre (René) and Lucie Lamothe (Terry) both of Espanola, Diane Venne (Marc) of Garson, Michel Lafrenière (Joanne) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by his step-children, Jocelyne Jean (Richard), Réjean Labelle (Louise) and Julie Roux (Daniel) all of Val Caron, Suzanne Bénard (Denis) of Chelmsford, Gilles Labelle (Mona) of Thunder Bay, Jill VanDelight (Tim Mireau) and Denise Labelle (Laurier Carrey) both of Sudbury, André Labelle (Monique) and Lucie Clark (Ronald) both of Blezard Valley. Dear brother of Murielle Binette (friend Gerry Gilligan), Hélène Marleau (Aurel) and Pierre Lafrenière (Pierrette) all of Sturgeon Falls, Estelle Arbour (Jean-Paul) and Angèle Rivet (Luc) both of Lavigne and Richard Lafrenière (Gail) of Verner. Predeceased by his brothers Rhéal (late Glorielle) and Normand (Ghislaine of Lavigne). Lovingly remembered by his 45 grandchildren and his 33 great-grandchildren. Marcel was very active in his parish and as well, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree, council 9922, Blezard Valley. In his leisure time he enjoyed woodworking and will be remembered for his many crafts. The family will receive friends at the CO- OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame) Sudbury, Thursday evening from 7-9:30 p.m. and Friday from 2- 5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 24th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Notre-Dame-du Rosaire, Blezard Valley.
