CADWALLADER, Hazel - Peacefully at Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, on November 26, 2007, Hazel Vyola Cadwallader (Patterson) in her 97th year, formerly of Edy's Mills. Beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” Cadwallader (1974). Loving mother of Allan and his wife Fran (Whiting). Grandmother to Greg Cadwallader, Kim Lumby and husband Brett, and Clarke and wife Leslie (Turner). Great-grandmother to Ali and Haley Cadwallader, Brennan and Melanie Lumby and step-grandmother of Brian Turner. Hazel was born in Dawn Township and lived most of her life in Edy‘s Mills. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Daisy Patterson (Hendra), stepmother Sarah (Beveridge), brothers Clayton Patterson (Rose Thompson), Arnold Patterson (Frances Knapp/Roberts), Verne Patterson (Marion Henderson), niece Lenore Taylor (Patterson) (Joe), nephews Wesley Patterson (Lynn), Russell Patterson (Pat), Wayne Patterson (Cathy) and Lyle Patterson. Hazel was a long time member of Edy's Mills United Church. She was a Past Worthy Matron of Naomi Chapter No. 39, Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Noble Grand of Lady Washington Rebekah Lodge No. 337. Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Thursday November 29, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 with Dr. Gordon Simmons officiating. Interment Oil Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Hazel's name to Lambton Meadowview Villa, Edy's Mills United Church or the Alzheimer Society.
