SAVONI, Agostino - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Agostino (Gus) Vincent Savoni of Kettle Point on November 28, 2007 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in his 70th year. Gus will be deeply missed by his loving and caring wife Sue (nee Fenwick) Savoni. Loving Father of Kathy & Eros of Stratford, Jeannine & Denis Giguere of Victoria, B.C., Cheri Savoni of London, Carolyn & Tim Rideout of Victoria, B.C., Brian Savoni, Lorraine Harris & Peter James of London, and Paula Savoni & Shawn Quinn of Forest. Beloved “Grumpa“ of Steph, Mike, Kyle, Tyler, Matt, Brain, and Trish. Sadly missed by sister Tommi (Hugo) Rossini of Blenheim. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by wife Jeannette, brother Lou (survived by his wife Nella), and sister Theresa (and her husband Ivan and their children Franny & Mark). Gus's greatest passion was his dedication in helping struggling couples through Retrouvaille week-ends, grateful that their own pain and growth was used to bring other couples to a rediscovery of their love for each other. He believed in service to others and gave of his time and energy to many groups, especially Knights of Columbus, Cursillo, Cor, and Men's Club. He touched the lives of many and, in turn, was enriched by so many. Visitation on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 7-9pm and Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 2-4pm at GILPIN FUNERAL CHAPEL, Forest. Funeral Mass on Monday, December 3, 2007 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Forest, at 11:00am. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy, Sarnia. Memorial Donations to the Retrouvaille, London or the Canadian Liver Foundation gratefully acknowledged. 10919700
