BISS, Nancy - Surrounded by the love of her family and the loving care of the staff of Montreal 5 at Providence Manor died peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2007. She was born on June 22, 1923 in the Ukraine to the late Warkarka and Dmytro Maik. She immigrated to Canada in 1934. In 1941 she married Michael Biss and raised two sons and a daughter, Peter (Judy), Paul (Eileen) and Luba (Doug) Senior. She loved her family and was a wonderful Baba to Stefanie (Brent) Vreugdenhil, Michael (Nancy) Senior, Tyson Biss, Todd (Kim) Biss and Tanya (Chris) Nielissen. As well she loved her great grandchildren Emma, Alana, Wyatt and Jacob Vreugdenhil, Ashley Senior, Camryn and Michael Biss and Brody Nielissen. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Michael of 58 years, her brother John Myke and sisters Ann (Nick) Sullivan and Sanka Maik. She will be missed by her sister in-law Bernice Myke as well as her nieces and nephews and their families. Family and friends will be received in the Fireplace Room of Providence Manor (275 Sydenham Street) from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Thursday November 22, 2007. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel (Providence Manor). Rite of Committal Prayers will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
