GREENWOOD, Joseph Edward - Prominent Businessman President of Greenwood Brothers Limited Lifetime Member and Supporter of Rotary International Recipient of Rotary's Paul Harris Award Former Co-Owner, Amey's Greenwood Taxi Limited Peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, in his 82nd year. Dear brother of Francis Greenwood of Kingston, Mary Jackson, also of Kingston and Pearl O'Connor of Peterborough. Uncle Joe was much loved by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and is remembered by the community for his generosity. Predeceased by his parents Thomas Greenwood and Molly McGlynn, his brothers Freeman Greenwood, Glenn Greenwood, Reginald Greenwood and by his sisters Lillian Staley and Mae Hasselaar. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, CATARAQUI CHAPEL (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Monday, November 26, 2007 to St. Mary's Cathedral (279 Johnson Street) for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Father Stanley J. Alanen officiating. The family extends an invitation to all to a reception following the Funeral Mass at James Reid Reception Centre. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wolfe Island. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Boy's and Girl's Club or to the Rotary International Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
