RISEBROUGH, Margaret (Marie), nee Robinson - Peacefully, at home, on Saturday, November 24, 2007, in her 76th year. Loving wife of Orval (Archie) Risebrough for 56 years. Cherished mother of Douglas and his wife Marilyn, of Edina, Minnesota, Laura and her husband Terry Gregson of Thornbury, Ontario, Greg and his wife Brenda of Paris, Ontario, Ron and his wife Suzann Verhoeven of Oakville, Ontario, Rhonda and her friend Gary Bobrovitz of Calgary, Alberta and Kelly and her friend Chris Cullen of Langley, BC. Beloved grandmother of Allison, Lindsay, Timothy, Sean and Shea. Survived by sister Kathleen Dance, and brothers Clarence (Sonny) and wife Marlene Robinson, Doug and wife Suzanne Robinson, Don and wife Cathy Robinson, Ron Robinson, Dennis and wife Shirley Robinson and special aunt, Marg Turner. Predeceased by parents John and Edna Robinson, grandmother Elizabeth (Gram) and infant son Michael. Marie was an avid and accomplished skier in her youth, and loved watching all sports, especially hockey. She instilled a passion for hard work, family values and generosity in her children. She was a valued employee for many years at John M. Halls in Paris, Ontario. Marie was talented at sewing, knitting and crafts, and continued with these activities even after macular degeneration took much of her sight. Marie was active in her church and volunteered with the Quota Club. Special thanks to her sister-in-law Mary and husband Len McCaffrey of Scarborough, ON for their love and support while Marie was undergoing treatment for lung cancer at Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre in Toronto. Friends will be received at Fawcett Funeral Home, 82 Pine Street, Collingwood, ON, on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 from 6-9pm. Funeral service to celebrate Marie's life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 Maple Street, Collingwood, ON, at 11am, on Thursday, November 29, 2007 with Reverend Karen Horst officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Terry Fox Foundation, Unit D10-6115 3rd St SE, Calgary, AB, T2H 2L2, the First Presbyterian Church, Collingwood, and the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
