ONDROVCIK, Violet “Marie” - A resident of Chatham, Marie Ondrovcik died at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus, on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the age of 84. Born in Blenheim, daughter of the late Sherman and Gladys (Speed) Burk. Beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Ondrovcik (2006). Loving mother of Jim and Anne Ondrovcik of Morpeth, Dave and Margaret Ondrovcik of Ridgetown, Joyce and Ray Reissner of Chatham, Nancy and Terry Greaves of Ridgetown, Wendy and Gary Moran of Chatham, Mike Ondrovcik and Dave Butler of Chatham, Tim and Colleen Ondrovcik of Chatham and Robert Laidlaw-Ondrovcik, also of Chatham. Grandmother of Cheryl, Brad, Holly, Tony, Kate, Dan, Tanya, Shaelynne, Bryce, Rick, Dennis, Rae Anne, Jeff, Stephanie, Sarah and Ashley. Great-grandmother of Natasha, Charlie, Seeger, Hayden, Owen, Joshua, Kevin, Jillian, Kiara, Pippa, Sophie, Norah, Jarrod, Burk, Caleb, Evan and Genevieve. Sister of Marion Smith of Chatham, Leola Burke of Tilbury, Inez Smith of Chatham, Ethelee Hackett of Chatham, Mary Lou Omilusik of Alberta, Allan and Pat Burk of Chatham and predeceased by Cecil Burk and Doug Burk. Marie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Branch#28, Royal Canadian Legion. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from Blessed Sacrament Church, Chatham with Rev. Fr. Joseph Nevett, Celebrant. Parish Prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home. A Ladies Auxiliary Service, sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of Branch#28, Royal Canadian Legion will take place at Funeral Home. Details to be announced when confirmed. Interment of cremated remains in St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. Donations to the Chatham-Kent O.S.P.C.A, Brain Injury Association of Chatham-Kent or the V.O.N./Geranium House appreciated.
