LACHANCE, Gille Laurence - (28 Aug 1927-19 Oct 2007), formerly of North Bay, passed away peacefully in Winnipeg, Man. He was predeceased by his parents, Philias Lachance and Lora (Pichette.) He is survived by his wife, Florence Lachance, Winnipeg, and his former wife, Vada Lachance of North Bay. Loving father of Barry Lachance, (Wendy) North Bay; Bart Lachance, White Rock, B.C.; Holly Lachance, London, ON. He will be missed by his sisters, Huguette (Leo Giroux) Buckingham, Que.; Jeannine (Louis Schreck) North Bay and Tucson, Arizona. Grandchildren, Dan Lachance, (Sue) North Bay; Darryl Drake, Ottawa; Trudy Drake, London, ON. Great-granddaughters, Sara Carson and Ashley Lachance, both of North Bay. Gille was an active member with Royal Canadian Legion in North Bay and Winnipeg. Very successful in sales and marketing, Gille was employed by Shinleys in Winnipeg. Earlier, he worked for Sherman Mine in Temagami, and with Police Services in Mattawa, Chelmsford and North Bay. Gille was an active community volunteer and was also a goaltender with North Bay Oldtimer clubs, ACT and Garland Pepsi hockey teams. Cremation and interment of ashes held in Winnipeg. 10907508
