BENNETT, William “Bill“ - At Chatham- Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Thursday, November 22, 2007, William “Bill“ Bennett, age 67, beloved husband of Joanne (Bondy) of Chatham. Born in Chatham in 1940, son of the late Dorothy (Mann) and Carlyle Bennett, he was retired from Union Gas in 1996. Bill was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved his cottage at Bass Haven. His grandchildren were the love of his life and he loved a good game of euchre. He will be sadly missed by: his children, David and wife Jon-Ann of Toronto, and Janine Poisson and husband Randy of Chatham, five grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Alexandrea and Kristan Bennett and Mitchell Poisson, two sisters Betty Barry and husband Ralph and Bonnie Fishleigh and friend Harold Jubenville, and many nieces and nephews, Uncle Willie to all of them. Brother-in-law to Dolores Taylor, Doreen Hooker, Al Bondy, Allen and Heather Bondy, Maurice and Marg Bondy, Earl and Marg Bondy, Jerry Bondy, and Joanne Bennett. He is predeceased by a brother Bob Bennett (2004). A brother-in- law Don and wife Jean Bondy and sister-in- law Roxy Bondy. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:00 am in St. Ursula's Church. Cremation will follow. Donations to V.O.N.
