MARSHALL, Lillian (nee Ferguson) - Passed peacefully from this world into the restful one she deserved. Lillian Marshall in her 96th year, formerly of the Bay Club, now Grove Park Home. Predeceased by her husband Keith and survived by sons Ronald Marshall, Barrie; Paul Marshall (Mary Kay), Shanty Bay; and daughter Linda Cryderman (Terry) of Fernie, BC. Lillian was a proud grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 17. Dear sister of brother Douglas Ferguson of Mount Hope, Ont. Predeceased by siblings Mrs. Gladys Harris of Vancouver B.C., Charles Ferguson of Weyburn SK, Angus Ferguson of Regina Sk., Mrs. Helen Pettit of Weyburn SK, and Donald Ferguson (airman WW2). Born and raised in Weyburn SK. She chose teaching as a career and attended Normal School in Regina and taught in one room schools in SK as well as several years at Johnson Street Public School in Barrie. Lillian was a long time member of Collier St. United Church and an active member of the UCW. She also enjoyed many years of service in the Women's Institute. With husband, Keith and many friends enjoyed a good game of bridge. She also enjoyed reading and many crafts. Her life centered on her ever expanding family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her loving extended family. Friends may call at the STECKLEY GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (30 Worsley Street at Clapperton Street) Barrie on Monday November 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Collier Street United Church on Tuesday November 27, 2007 at 2 pm. Spring Inurnment. Memorial donations to the Collier Street United Church, Royal Victoria Hospital Regional Cancer Care Center or Grove Park Home would be appreciated.
