SARACINO, Mr. Peter John - with unwavering strength, dignity, and surrounded by the love of his family, Peter John Saracino passed away peacefully on Sunday November 25, 2007 at age 55. Beloved husband of Beverley, adored and cherished Dad of Anthony and Gillian, precious son of Mary and the late Anthony (1996), loved brother of Marijane St. Pierre (Al), David (Lynda), and Shari (Paul Portinari), brother-in-law of Nancy and Walter Hall, special Uncle of Andrea, Ryan, Christie, Amanda, Kevin, Carrie, and Jim. Sadly missed by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends and golfing partners. Peter was born and raised in Welland attending Notre Dame College School, and the University of Western Ontario where he met his wife and soulmate Bev. Peter's accomplishments were many including Director of Rigel Treatment Centre, Calgary, Alberta, Executive Director of Big Brothers and Sisters in both Kitchener and St. Catharines, President of the MS Society of Atlantic Canada and most recently Peter was thrilled to return to the Region as C.E.O. of Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region and was instrumental in establishing the Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation. Peter's greatest joy was his children, coaching their sports teams, teaching Gillie his love of cooking, and playing golf with his son and best friend Anthony. The family will receive their friends from 7-9 pm. Monday and 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Tuesday at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. There will be no funeral home visitation at the funeral home on the day of funeral service. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alexander's Catholic Church, 50 Pelham Town Square (at Station Street) Fonthill on Wednesday November 28th 2007 at 10:00 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society Niagara Foundation will be greatly appreciated by the family.
