GRAY, Mary Anne (Kucher) - Left this world on November 25, 2007 rejoining her beloved mother and father Julia and Nicolas Kucher. Mary was born July 16, 1923 in Sault Sainte Marie Ontario. Mary grew up in the shadow of the Algoma Steel Mill in the close-knit neighborhood watching her older brothers Nick and Jim play hockey. The daughter of immigrants and the youngest of six children, Mary dreamed of becoming a figure skater. Mary met James Franklin Gray in 1946. James passed away November 1996. Mary loved animals and was an avid bird watcher. She is survived by her two children son, James Allen and wife Pamela and daughter Patti Gray and husband Christopher Gilson and Christina Gray and grandson James Paul Gray. In accordance with Mary's wishes, a private family gathering to celebrate her life will take place. Funeral arrangements will be made by the COVELL FUNERAL HOMES of Traverse City. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Audubon Society or Grand Travers Humane Society. Interment will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial gardens. The family wishes to thank the staff of Birch at the Grand Traverse Pavilions for their kind and compassionate care. 10917352
