SANIN, Erwin Alfons - Peacefully in St. Catharines, in his 94th year with Friedl, his loving wife of 61 years, at his side. He is survived by his son Harold (Bertha) of Oakville; Grandchildren Laura (Laurent) in Thailand, Michelle (David) of Toronto, David of Vancouver and Mark of Oakville; as well as his lovely great granddaughter Thale Lola Mai Pinci of Thailand. He also leaves behind two nephews in Austria, Hans-Peter and Joseph. Born in Innsbruck, Austria, he moved his family to Canada in 1951. As a lifetime employee of General Motors, he built a secure and successful life in this great country. During a long and healthy retirement he was very loving and proud of his grandkids. A forthright and respectful man, he set his benchmark for decency and honourable living. Erwin had a sharp wit and sometimes irreverent sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will occur at a later date. Friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday December 4th from 1-3 p.m. Following visitation, a celebration of Erwin's life will be held at 3 p.m. in the George Darte Funeral Chapel.
