CRAWFORD, Janet - On Saturday November 17, 2007 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late John D. (Jack) Crawford (1988). Dear mother of Elizabeth and Bill Newman of Delhi, Robert “Bob” Crawford of Niagara Falls and Janet and Bob Dekker of Shallow Lake. Janet is survived by her six grandsons Michael, Andrew and David Newman and Will, Rob and James Dekker. Great-grandmother of Kaitlyn, Erik and Natalie. Born in East Kilbride, Scotland, she came to Niagara Falls as a bride in 1939 and was an active farmer with her husband and son. For the past five years she called Willoughby Manor her home. She was a member of Chippawa Presbyterian Church and Willoughby Women's Institute and she was also the founding member of the Home and School Association #7 Willoughby. Janet's family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES 5917 Main Street, on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Chippawa Presbyterian Church on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. For those who wish memorial donations may be made to Chippawa Presbyterian Church or the GNGH Foundation.
