COX, Douglas George - Surrounded by his family, Doug took his love “up to the sky“ on Sunday, November 18th, 2007. Doug's grace, caring nature and quiet energy enriched all those he touched, and brought out the best in everyone. His life will continue to be celebrated each day by his wife Ann; his children Christopher, Meghan, Geoff, Michael and their families, including his grandchildren Jared and Marissa to whom he was their cherished Popa. He was the dear son of Alvin and the late Erma. His spirit will continue to live on in his brothers Don, Bill, Ed and his sister Betty, their families and many other relatives and friends. The family invites friends to join them at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (201 Minet's Point Road at Yonge Street) Barrie on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Burton Avenue United Church, Barrie on Thursday November 22nd, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Doug, donations can be made to Samaritan House and the Burton Avenue Memorial Fund.
