CASSIDY, Maureen (nee McCarthy). Passed away peacefully at home, from this life as she lived it with grace, quiet dignity and courage, on Monday, November 12, 2007, in her seventy-fourth year. Predeceased by her husband Linus. Cherished mother of Joseph (Gillian), Colleen (Len), Kathy (Mike) and John (Carmen). She will be lovingly remembered by her thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Maureen is predeceased by her son Sean, brother Michael and her parents Mary and Joseph McCarthy. Special thanks to Dr. Robert Sauls, Angela Kurtz-Melo, the staff at the Credit Valley Hospital-Oncology Department, the St. Elizabeth nurses and the many others who provided care during her illness. Friends will be received for condolences on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 10 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the St. Willibrord Church on 351 Willibrord, Verdun and from there to the Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
