OBITUARY BARBARA BUNNY HIGTON (NEE SEWARD) It is with profound sadness that Barbara's family announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in her sixty-third year, surrounded by her family and close friends. Barbara was born on April 8, 1944, to her beloved parents, Georgette (Shaheen) and Gordon Seward. She will be profoundly missed by her beloved husband Derek Higton, her parents Georgette and Gordon, her sister Shirley Seward and her husband Steven Langdon and their children Sarah, Rebecca, Chris, and Jon, her sister Elizabeth Seward and husband John Cross and their children Stephen and Rachel. She is also mourned by her special friends Stephen Pratt, Grace Tugwell, Judie Jokinen, as well as many cherished cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and colleagues from around the world, including Australia and Great Britain. Barbara's illustrious career began with her teaching certificate from MacDonald College. She taught at both Lemoyne d'Iberville Highschool and Northview Elementary. Barbara obtained a BA degree from Concordia University. In a bold move, Barbara changed careers to establish her beloved jewellery store Salon D'Or. For twenty-six years she joyfully and gracefully provided individual personalized service and friendship to her many loyal customers. Her expertise included her gemology certificate from the GIA. Her life and career were cut short by her courageous battle with breast cancer since 1998. She expressly wished to deeply thank Dr. Christine Legler and the entire Oncology Staff at the Montreal General Hospital. Condolences may be sent by email to derekhigton@hotmail.com.
