SCHECTER, Sydney Peacefully at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley. Loving father who will be greatly missed by his children Estelle (Sol Gunner), Mel (Arlene), Brian (Kimmy), and Jack (Karen). Cherished grandfather of Neil, Mara, Michael, Marni (Richard), I.J. (Stephanie), Alex (Catherine), Emma, Laura and Kendra. Great-grandfather of Gabriel, Julian, Oliver, Taliesin and Charlotte. Predeceased by his siblings Nathan, Clara, Joe, Annie, Sadie, Becky and Jack. A Graveside Service will be held at the Jewish Community Cemetery, Bank Street, on Wednesday, November 28 at 2:00 pm. Shiva will be held at 108 Ashgrove Crescent. Memorial Donations to the Sydney and Shirley Schecter Endowment Fund or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
