OBITUARY ANDREA DE CAPUA 1921 - 2007 In Montreal on November 27, 2007, at the age of eighty-six, passed away Mr. Andrea De Capua, leaving to mourn his loving wife of 59 years, Filomena Farinaccio. He also leaves to mourn his only daughter, Maria De Capua (the late Nicolangelo Geloso); his grandchildren Guido (Tania), Andy, Linda, Lydia, Lori (Michael), Vince and Benny; his great-grandchildren Justin and Julia; his sisters and brothers as well as other relatives and friends. The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 from 7 to 10 p.m. and November 29, 2007 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at: 4975 boul. Des Grandes-Prairies in Saint-Leonard. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Pompei Church, 2875, rue Sauve Est, in Montreal. Mr. Andrea De Capua was a great man who lived a life of sacrifice and of giving, until the very end. He, like many immigrants who came to Montreal in the 1950's, was a World War II survivor in search of a better life. He was a very passionate but conservative man with a work ethic second to none. His strength, emotion and intensity set the example of how a man can attain success in daily life. He had a trusting and generous soul that transcended into every person he encountered in his life. He was a skillful craftsman and relentless believer in the healing power of music, especially the sweet harmony of the accordion which he took pride in playing since childhood. He will be remembered forever and his remarkable traits will be passed on to generations to come.
