Eleanor Jamieson PUGWASH, NS - Eleanor, 66, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 27, 2007, in the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash, NS. Born in Douglasfield, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Helen (Smith) Williston. She had worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia for over 25 years, retiring at age 55. She was proud to have achieved a lifetime membership with the West Pugwash Woman's Institute, especially enjoying the numerous quilting projects with the group. She was a member of the Pugwash Book Club, served on the Board of Directors for the Pugwash Co-op; a Director of the Pugwash River Mutual Telephone Company, and a Director of the Pugwash River Cemetery. Always busy, Eleanor loved to spend time quilting with the Morning Doves, sewing, gardening, reading, and especially time with her family. Surviving are her husband, Gerald; son, Michael (Charlene) Jamieson, Pugwash River; daughters, Patti (Dominic Peditto) Gordon, Mantua, NJ; Heather (Harold) Follett, Bolton, Ont; stepson, Bobby (Ellen) Langille, Wentworth; grandchildren, Anthony, Stephanie, Nikki, Matthew, Christopher, Bobby, Abby; brothers, Carman (Nellie) Williston, Miramichi, N.B, Karl (Lil) Williston, Miramichi, N.B, Bill (Terry) Williston, Gannonoque, Ont., Neil Williston, St. Catharine's, Ont., Gary Williston, Miramichi, N.B; sisters, Beryl (Vince) Sobey, Ignace, Ont.; Betty (Arnold) MacEwan, Pugwash River; Sue (Raymond) Roy; Saint John, N.B; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Donald Williston; a sister, Rosemary Ludlow. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash (243-2506). The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Pugwash. Father David MacDonald officiating with a reception to follow in the church hall. Burial to take place in the Pugwash River Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only.
