BARTLETT, MIRIAM ANNE - widow of the late Maurice E. Bartlett passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 10th, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Miriam Anne was born in 1926 in New Westminster, B.C to the late George and Miriam (Lloyd) Wakeling. Because her mother died at birth, she was raised by her grandmother in London, England, returning to BC at age 6. Anne worked as a nurse, until her husband returned from the Navy. They were married in Grand-Bay in 1945. Anne was a devoted wife and mother; generous, caring, a true friend, unforgettable. She is survived by three daughters, Bronwyn (Scott) Crandall, Megan, and Myfanwy Bree (Michael Gormley); and sons, Rhys and Owen. As well as six grandchildren, George, Judson, Caleb, Wren, Taylor and Hilary; brother, Rev. George Wakeling (Betty) of CA; nieces and nephews, Sheridan, Melinda and Mark of BC; Deborah and Richard of England; brother-in-laws, Ralph Bartlett (Audrey), Roy McAdam. Anne was predeceased by her husband of 59 years; her parents; stepmother, Pauline Felker; Brother, Eric Wakeling and Sister, Olive Lee. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, November 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday November 14th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Interment will take place at the Harding's Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
