Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Friend and Mentor June 16, 1923 - November 11, 2007 LOUGHERY, CLAUDE P. - 84, of Upper Coverdale (Riverview) passed away quietly, at the Moncton Hospital, on Sunday, November 11, 2007. Born in Saint John, NB., he was the son of the late George and Marion (Kelly) Loughery. Claude has been reunited with the love of his life and wife of 60 years V.I. who predeceased him on September 24, 2007. Memories of Claude will be treasured by his children, Edward (Katherine), Claudia Graham (Bill), all of Upper Coverdale, and Sean of Woodstock. Poppa will be affectionately remembered by his nine grandchildren, Shannon ("Damn Nuisance"), Loughery ("Lock"), Shaundra ("Sam"), Cole, Angela ("Daley"), Jon ("Jake"), Sarah ("Smiley"), Kadi ("Smarty"), and Brett ("Spook"), and three great granddaughters, Madison ("Chatterboss"), Ashleigh ("Little Sam"), and Ryleigh ("Irish"). Claude will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Dorothy; sisters-in-law, Muriel, Lois and Faith and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Harry, Eric, and Talmadge, and sister Marie. We will remember you every day - your sense of humor, your wit, your charm, your generosity, and the mischievous twinkle in your eye. Claude may be gone but he will never be forgotten. He was from an era when his handshake or his word was his bond, and his friendship was everlasting. No visitation, by request. Cremation will be followed by a private graveside service.
