Giovanna "Gianna" Di Giacinto (née Battaglia) June 13, 1919 - November 10, 2007 Peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 10, 2007 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Primo. Loving mother of John and Pia, Nancy Evans, Gerry and Cheryl, Angelo and Rita. Cherished Nonna of Melissa and Piero, Laura, Michael, Katrina, Chris, Dustin, Colton, Angelica, Lucas, the late Nadia, and Bisnonna of Juliana. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Angelo and Julia, Dina and Pasqualino, the late Ines, Franceschina and the late Antonio, Irma and the late Domenico, the late Antonella and Giovanni, the late Costantino and Giuseppina, Lina and the late Sandrino, and Pasqualino and Zaira. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and the USA. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday time and place to be announced. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Peter's Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
