Reverend Father Patrick MEEHAN Peacefully on November 14, after a brief illness, Father Patrick Meehan in his 76th year. Beloved son of the late William Albert Meehan and Ada Parrish. Beloved brother of Sarah, Monica Birnie (Clifford), Magdalene Collins, John (Toby) and Kevin. Predeceased by his siblings: Mary, Theresa, Elizabeth and Gemma. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Father Meehan was ordained in Montreal on September 16, 1956 by Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger for the Redemptorist Fathers Community in England. While a member of Redemptorist Community, he taught in their various schools and colleges. From 1975 to 1999, Father Meehan ministered in a number of parishes in the Archdiocese of Montreal: St. Malachy's Parish, St. Thomas More Parish, and was pastor of St. Raphael the Archangel Parish and Resurrection of Our Lord Parish. Since his retirement in September 1999, Father Meehan maintained an active ministry of assisting throughout many parishes in the Archdiocese. Visitation at the Lady Chapel of St. Patrick's Basilica (454 René-Levesque West, corner St. Alexandre) on Thursday, November 15 from 3:00 to 9:00 pm. Prayer Vigil at 8:00 pm. Visitation in the St. Patrick's Basilica (460 René-Levesque West) on Friday, November 16 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Patrick's Basilica at 1:00 pm.
