Cor Rouw, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, on Friday, November 30, 2007. He was 69. Cor was born in Holland to the late William and Neeltje Rouw. He worked at Hanover Kitchens, Knechtels and Truax Sash and Doors before retiring. Survived by wife Elaine Rouw (nee Bode), son Gary and wife Angela Rouw of Ayton, daughter Wendy Elliott of Hanover, grandchildren Joshua and Madison Elliott and Alaina and Michayla Rouw. Also survived by brothers John Rouw of Walkerton, Rennie (Isabel) Rouw of B.C., Bill (Laurie) Rouw of Kitchener, Bram (Bunty) Rouw of Bayfield, sisters Betty de Jonge of Windsor, Ann (Al) Reinstra of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Nellie (Don) Weick of London, Jean (Roy) Slumskie of Chesley, Marie (Peter) Guite of Hanover, parents-in-law Martha and Charles Jonas of Conestogo and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Don, Jim and Jake Rouw and a sister, Koos Wouters. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 11 am, at First St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Hanover. Rev. Mark Koekler officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or First St. Matthew's Lutheran Church were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
