CHICHKA, Carol - Peacefully at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Thursday, December 13, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, Carol Ann Chichka, age 53 of Sarnia. Born in Thunder Bay (Fort William). Beloved wife of Jeff Inchley. Loving mother of Madeline. Dear daughter of Monica and the late Merf Chichka. Loved sister of Nancy and Raymond Harasen, John and Liz Chichka, Jim and Shelagh Chichka and Paul Chichka. Cherished daughter-in-law of Philip and Marie Inchley. Special sister-in-law of Tim and Karen, Dennis and Wendy and Kevin and Nancy Inchley. Dear aunt to Devon, Matthew, Andrew, Ashley, Michael, Jordan, Shayne (Gloria), Ian, Deanna (Jonathan), Chris, Sara (Jason), Travis (Martha), April (Jordan), Brent (Bree), Stephen and Laura. Great aunt to Barclay, Jazmin, Lexton, Marley, Jillian, Logan, and Aiden. Cherished friend of Dianne (Fregin) Jansen and many other close friends. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carol worked for Mellon Inc. for many years where she felt at home with Gregg and Brian. Carol had a passion for skating and was a member of Skate Canada. She was a level 3 coach of all disciplines and had also taught power skating. Her first love was always ice dancing. She mentored many students to attain gold medals during her coaching career. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Sunday December 16, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday December 17, 2007 at Smith Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. Sympathy may be expressed though donations to the Carol Chichka Memorial Skating Fund, Bluewater Health Oncology Department (Sarnia Cancer Clinic) or Bluewater Health Palliative Care.
