JESSUP, Captain James Edward CD - of Gananoque, Ontario.Proud veteran RAF, RCAF retired 1968. 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star and France and Germany Clasp, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, War Medal 1939-45, Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp. Retired Hastings County Department Social Services 1983. Jim passed away on November 30 2007, just 11 days shy of his 85th birthday, at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie Ontario. Beloved husband of Joan Stewart; dear father of the late Kenneth (Dorothy), Gregory (Kathy), Sandra Fernandez (Ciro) and Alan (Sylvia); dear grandfather of Alicia and Jamie Jessup, Tricia Orr, Megan Jessup, Elena, Jeremy and Zachary Fernandez and Sebastian and Vincent Jessup; great grandfather of Kyle Trembley. Predeceased by parents James Jessup and Edith Armitage, his sisters and their husbands Ruth and Ernie Young and Marion and Jack Nesbitt; also survived by nephews Jim, Bob, Frank Young, Ron, Thom Nesbitt, Rob Stewart and their respective families. Cremation took place on December 1st, Memorial Service and interment to take place in Gananoque in the Spring. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
