PALMER, Cedric John - Comfortably at home as was his request and desire, Cedric John Palmer, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007 in his 80th year. John was a very devoted husband and father throughout his lifetime and he will always be remembered and cherished for his love and understanding and the values that he instilled in us all. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Lillian and 8 children: Jonathan (Raffaela), Sharon, Sandra (Mitchell), Michael (Collette), Suzanne (Allan), Neil (Keatha), Brian (Judy) and Gary (Michele) as well as his grandchildren and great grandchild. As well, he is fondly remembered by 3 sisters, Jane Locking and Margaret Tucker of Orillia, ON and Joan Latvala of Swastika, ON. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. In keeping with his wishes and not wanting to ask of anyone else, as was his quiet way, cremation has taken place with no visitation. A Service of Remembrance with the immediate family took place at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES, Township Chapel, 435 Davis Drive on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. The Venerable Archdeacon Bill Clarke officiated, with the interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family expresses its deepest appreciation to all of those who knew John and shared in his life with him and to those who provided the sincerest of additional support over the past few years in particular. If wishing to do so, a donation to one's preferred charity would be appreciated. 10921457
