HUEHN, Vivian Mae - “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.“ Mom was called to the arms of her Lord on Wednesday December 5, 2007. Survived and much loved by her son, Alan and his wife Marie-Louise; her daughter, Vicky; grandchildren, Jason, Tyler (Carley), Sarah-Dawn, Alissa and great grandchildren Shaelyn, Alexis, Brianna. She will be missed by family members including John Hoffer, Ruth McLaughlin, Jeannie and Carl Wagner, Don Huehn as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter Cherry, loving husband Stew, parents, Aaron and Rene Hoffer, sisters Lloy Reichard and Trudy Klinck. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for friends will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Victoria Street in Kingston on Saturday December 8 at 1:00 p.m. and for her family and friends in Elmira at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Monday December 10, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Internment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Floradale at 12:30 p.m. Monday December 10th. For those who desire, memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Laymen's League of Canada (270 Lawrence Avenue, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, N2M 1Y4) , Frontenac Community Mental Health Services - Capital Fund (372 King St W, Kingston, ON K7L 2X4), the Canadian Cancer Society (Woodbine Plaza 2795 Princess St Kingston, ON K7P 2X1) or the Accessibility Project at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Elmira (27 Mill Street, Elmira, Ontario N3B 2K3). Many thanks to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, Kingston, Vicki and Carol, the home care nurses from St. Elizabeth, Dr. Tessa Clark and Dr. Patey. We want to acknowledge the many friends and family members who offered prayers and assistance for Mom during her illness. Mom loved her Lord, her family, and her dear friends. She had an incredible faith and was ready to meet her Lord Jesus Christ. With our Dad and Mom both at our shoulders and our Lord guiding the Way, what more do we need? Thanks Be to God!
