BARTOLI, Moe (Edward) - In loving memory of Moe (Edward) Bartoli. The family announces with great sadness Moe's death, after a long and courageous battle with cancer on November 29th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born in Sudbury December 18th, 1936 to immigrant parents Argeo and Tersilla Bartoli (predeceased). He was the beloved husband of Beverley (Miller) and father to Leslie (Glenn) Mastrodicasa of Millis, Ma., and Michael (Joanne) Bartoli of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather to Hillary, Zachary and Shelby Mastrodicasa and Vanessa and Michaela Bartoli. Brother of Julia (Fred) Cundari (both predeceased) and Dan (Anne) Bartoli of Sudbury and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Moe was actively involved in sports, leaving Sudbury at the age of seventeen to pursue his hockey career. For the next 26 years he played in the E.P.H.L., A.H.L. and the I.H.L. His most memorable years were those he spent in Columbus, Ohio as a player, Coach and General Manager of the Columbus Checkers, Seals and Owls franchises. Moe leaves a rich legacy to hockey fans in Columbus and was proud to be invited as the honoured guest to the first game of the Columbus Blue Jackets of the N.H.L. He spent his off seasons in sales at Star Bottling Works and upon his return from hockey in 1979 worked there until his retirement in 1985. Moe will be sadly missed by all those whose paths he crossed! Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, 30 Beech St., Sudbury Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
