PALMER, Frank Alfred - It is with deep sadness that the family of Frank Palmer, age 96 years of Skead Road, announces his passing on Monday, December 17th, 2007. Frank will always be remembered for his long days of hard work and his passion for his garden and hunting every fall with his good friends. He had in the last few years shared many stories of his life on the farm in Warren as a young boy with his twin brother Tom, cutting and harvesting trees then skidding them to the road with horses to help build Highway 17 at Sturgeon Falls. He also liked to tell the story of the town wedding in Markstay when he and his brother Tom married the McNamara girls in 1934. Frank was predeceased by his wife Nellie, his son Pat and daughter Irene, his brothers Joe, Tom and sisters Nell, Gwen and Annie. He will be lovingly remembered by his family Helen (Cecil) of Bellville, Fran (Frank predeceased) of Garson, Terry (Gloria) of Oshawa, Gary (Gail) of Rosseau, Michael (Joanne) of Garson, Linda (Doug) of Terrace Bay, Mary (Mark) of Sudbury. His great sense of humour will be missed by all his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. In keeping with Frank's wishes cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will take place this spring.
