VIENS, Robert - 1937-2007 - The family announces with sorrow his death at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the age of 70 years. Son of the late William and of the late Irène (née Belisle) Viens. Beloved husband of Colette (née Shank) Viens of Sturgeon Falls. Cherished father of Gilles of Windsor Jo-Anne Viens of Laval, P.Q. and Ronald (Carole) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his baby son, Roch. Dear brother of Claudette (Gilles Girard) of Rawdon, P.Q., Susan (Robert Drouin) of St Charles, P.Q. and Marc (Tracy) of London, ON. Predeceased by his brother, Paulo. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren, Chelsey, Codie and Phillipe. Survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and by many nieces and nephews. Robert enjoyed fishing, golfing and gardening. He retired 12 years ago after working 39 years at McMillan Bloedel. Since then, him and his wife have enjoyed ten winters in Florida. The family will receive friends at La Résurrection Church, Sturgeon Falls, on Wednesday, December 12, from 10:30 am. till time of service at 11 am.
