LANGLEY, Arthur Murray “Art“ - Well known North Bay insurance broker Art Langley died suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital on Sunday December 2nd, 2007, at the age of 63 years. Art was the beloved husband of Orien (nee Clayton) whom he married in 1967. The proud and loving father of Clay and his wife Virginia, and Christa Morgan and her husband Eric all of North Bay, he will also be lovingly remembered by is grandchildren Paige and Brianna. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Ken (Pat) of Midland, Doug (Carol) of Keswick, Bruce (Debbie) of Mississauga, & Jim (Cathy) of Oshawa, sisters Joyce Ellsworth (Ron) of Seeley's Cove, New Brunswick, & Jane Stanford (Graham) of Scarborough, and his brother in law Jerry Clayton (Cheryl) of Udora. For over 40 years Art was a well known and respected member of the insurance industry in Ontario. His career began while he was in his teenage years and he remained active until retiring in 2001. Art served on the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario board, the industry regulator for the province, and the Insurance Brokers of Ontario, serving as president and on many committees throughout his years of dedicated service. Art proudly owned and operated Demarco- Lucenti Insurance Brokers from 1978 until retiring in 2001. A community minded man he served locally with the Boy Scouts of Canada and was a member of the Davedi Club. While in his thirty's he discovered his passion for hockey. Not having played in his youth he was instrumental in forming a team, joining an outlaw league, and continued to play with the Ill Eagles three times a week until the time of his death. For the past several years Art and Orien have been summer resident of Pidgin's Nest Camp Ground on Pimisi Bay. Funeral services to celebrate his life were conducted in the First Baptist Church, North Bay, on Thursday December 6th at 1:30pm. Interment in St. John's Anglican Cemetery.
