PATERSON, Douglas James “Doug“ - Suddenly at his residence on Monday, December 10, 2007 in his 73rd year. Douglas, loving husband of the late Gayle (nee Phillips)(1993) and loving friend of Barbara Engall; loving father of Nadine and her husband Michael Dmetriuc; cherished Papa of Madison; beloved son of the late Stanley and Vera Paterson; dear brother of Jack Paterson (Bernice), the late Helen Kokerus (Eugene), the late Veneta Schleihaus (Bill), and Robina Jordan (Kenneth). Douglas will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Douglas worked at Bell Canada as a PBX Installer/Repairman for 35 years before retiring in 1991. He was a devoted father, papa, and friend, always available to help anyone. He will leave a void in our hearts that wonderful memories will fill. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL“, 96 West Street, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 1:00 PM followed by interment in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
