MOORE, William (Bill) Parker - 1930 - 2007 - CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER (RCAF) RETIRED - Bill died suddenly at his home on Sidney Street on Friday, November 14, 2007. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Bert of fifty years. Beloved son of the late Alice Moore. Fondly remembered by Roger & Edwina Scott of Dartmouth, NS; Ned and Dorina Baldwin of Blue Cove, NB, Mabel & Gilles Gionet of Manitouwadge, ON and several nieces and nephews. Bill was educated in Halifax. Enlisted in the RCAF 1949, and was stationed in 2 Fighter Wing France, Moncton, Downsview, Goose Bay, Ottawa, AWU Decimmonannu in Sardena, Italy and finally Trenton from where he retired in 1984. Bill a former member of Quinte Curling Club, CFB Trenton Golf Club, member of St. Michael's Church, and current President of Kiwanis Club of Sagonaska. Volunteer with Community Care Meals On Wheels, Canadian Cancer Society and ALS. Bill loved to sing with a passion. The former Melody Bells singing group was the highlight of each week and in particular when they entertained residents in retirement and nursing homes. Friends and family will be received at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613-968-6968) 150 Church Street, Belleville on Sunday, December 16, 2007 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 296 Church St., Belleville on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation with interment in St. James Cemetery at a later date.
