GORDON, Alexander - At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday December 14th, 2007. Mr. Alexander “Alex“ Gordon of Chatham in his 75th year. Loving son of the late William Gordon and Maggie Ann (Gordon) and Leamon Hazlett. Beloved husband of Marie. Cherished father of Rick and Jackie of Bothwell, Don and Denise, Tim and his wife Diane, Robin and Wayne, Elisabeth, and adopted daughter Desiree, all of Chatham. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Ashley, Coral, Bailey, and Tyler, and his great grandson Conner. Dear brother of Jean Saunders and her husband Jack of Chatham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Fred of Scotland. Mr. Gordon began his own trucking company and had Gordon Motor Sports. Alex also farmed in Chatham Township. Family and friends are invited to the ALEXANDER FUNERAL HOME, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service for Mr. Gordon will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday December 17th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Art Hystek of Cornerstone Church officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
