HUGHES, Marion Elizabeth - Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Port Ryerse overlooking the lake on Thursday, December 6, 2007. Mrs. Marion Hughes in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold (2002). Loving mother of Marjorie Jeavons and her husband Peter of Brantford, William Hughes of Port Ryerse and the late Helen Kellam (1996). Cherished grandma to Cara (Ray), Lee (Peggy), Lynn, and Dwayne. Great Nana Marion to Savannah, Adrian, Mitchell, Niki and Shawna. Predeceased by her brother Walter “Bud“ Curtis. Marion will be sadly missed by other relatives and friends and nephew Richard Curtis and his wife Faye. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, December 7, 2007 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.at the FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe. Funeral service to be conducted at the GRACE UNITED CHURCH, 18 Chapman St. W., Port Dover on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Frank Walker officiating. Interment to take place at Langton Baptist Cemetery on Monday at 11:00 a.m. If so desired, donations may be made in Marion's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
