ECKHARDT, Denise (Southon) - Suddenly on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Hamilton General Hospital, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 46. Beloved wife of Jeff; loving mother of Stephen (Fran), Brian (Reva Franssen) and Officer Cadet Andrew Eckhardt. Also survived by her mother Marie Southon and father-in-law Clifford Eckhardt (Diane Audit); her sisters Judy (Rob) Cairns, Faith (David) Bell, Alice (Dan) Sirard, Sandy (Rick) Herkimer; sisters-in-law Lee Ann (Geoff) Smith, Nancy (Kenneth) Deslatte; nieces and nephews Melody, Jillian, Robynn, Alex, Vicki, Jenna, Melinda, Darryl, Ryne, Alexie, Michael, Daniel, Christopher, Eric. Mom your grandpuppy Rocky will definitely miss you spoiling him and taking his picture everyday. Predeceased by her father Philip Southon (2004) and mother-in-law Mary-Jane Eckhardt (1998). Denise had a life long passion for sports and having fun; thus ensuring that NASCAR #8 will live on forever. We would like to thank the staff of both the Niagara Health Systems GNG site and the Hamilton General Hospital for their love compassion and professionalism in caring for Denise and also their wonderful support during this difficult time. As were Denise's wishes cremation has already taken place. She is now resting at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) for visitation with family and friends on Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, December 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church, 83 Church Street on Monday, December 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
