HAIGHT, Murvin Douglas “Mucker” - passed away suddenly at the Welland Hospital on Saturday, December 8, 2007 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Jeannette (nee McDonald) Haight. Loving father of Marsha (Dale Sidey), Margo (Jack Staples), Jack (Don Turner) and Luke. Cherished grandfather of Rob (Adrienne), Robyn (Luciano), Maureen, Jordan, Kyle, Tyler and Kelsey and great grandfather of Colton. Dear brother of Delmar Haight, Phyllis (Mark Fisher), Lois (George Vavruska) and John Haight (Sophia). Brother-in-law of Pierrette (Jim Etzl), Priscilla Paparoni, Fleurrette Carrigan, Lucy O'Neil and Monica (Nick Mete). Predeceased by his sister-in-law Marion Haight. Murvin was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4 and a veteran of WW2 having served as a Medic in the 7th Canadian Field Ambulance in Italy, Normandy, France, Belgium and Holland. Mucker worked 39 years for Bell Canada retiring in 1980. The family will receive their friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Wednesday after 10 a.m. where Rev. Dr. John Course of St. David's Anglican Church will conduct the funeral service at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
