CLELAND, Robert Alexander - (Past President of Cleland Metal Products) Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10, 2007 in his 53rd year, after a long courageous battle with kidney disease. Robert was the beloved husband of his devoted wife and best friend Cindy (Sproule); most loving father to Cheryl Anne Cleland; beloved son of Audrey Cleland; cherished brother of Susan Stewart. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews Alexis Johnson (Adam), Kate Stewart (Khalid), Dana Sproule, Jodi Sproule, John Aitken, Michael Aitken and his grandniece Avery Elizabeth Johnson. Robert was predeceased by his father Alexander Newell Cleland Jr. and his brother-in-law Wm. Reid Stewart. We will all miss Robert's kindness and humour. He will also be greatly missed by his beloved family of pets. The family is grateful to the staff of Woolcott Wing, Welland Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness extended to Robert and his family during his stay. The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Roberts life will be held on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will take place in the spring of 2008. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. 10930824
