RICH, Robert Edward Peacefully, Tuesday December 4, 2007 at Carleton Lodge in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Elinore Rich (nee Walker). Predeceased by his eldest son Robert Jr. (Jane). Survived by his children Dennis (Geri), Ronald (Donna), Kenneth (Carla), Linda Gunn (Walter), Kevin (Susan) and Bruce (Maureen). Survived by fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sisters Frances, Hilda, Eileen, Gladys and brother Richard. Survived by sister in law Lois and brothers in law Harry Ardley and Gerry Cole and many nieces and nephews. Robert "Bob" was a salesman in the office furniture and stationary business in Ottawa for over 50 years with H.H. Popham Co. and Grand and Toy Co. and a member of the Governor General's Footguard in his younger days. Bob was an avid, competitive darts player, golfer, curler and dedicated fan of the Montreal Canadiens. The family wish to thank the entire staff at Carleton Lodge for their dedication and kindness towards Robert during his residency at this wonderful facility. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home 2313 Carling Avenue Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Friday in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery.
