GALLEY, Edward. Peacefully, at home, in his seventy-third year, surrounded by his family, December 6, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted husband for forty-six years of Joan Ann (Holiday). Deeply loved and respected by his children: Steve (Karen MacCormac), Terry (Manon Therreault), Colleen (Tim McCarthy) and Lorraine (Andrew Matthew). Beloved Poppy of Kellie, Matthew, Kayla, Shane Ann, Jessica, Rachel, Josh, Jamie Lynn, Meg, Lindsay, Reid, Will and Ryan. Also survived by his sisters Ellen Galley and Carol Larrissey. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. On Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Edmund of Canterbury Parish, 105 Beaconsfield Blvd., Beaconsfield on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ed's memory can be made to St. Gabriel's Food Bank or St. Willibrord's Soup Kitchen.
