SHAPIRO, Tillie (Abramovitch). Died peacefully in Winnipeg on November 28, 2007. Born in Montreal to Sonya and Louis Abramovitch, she married Myer Shapiro in 1940 and spent much of her adult life in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Harry Abramovitch, and sisters Lillian Taylor and Joan Abbey. She is fondly remembered by son Martin of Los Angeles, daughter Laurie of Winnipeg and their spouses Barbara Vickrey and Rick Lee, grandchildren Michael and Amy Lee and Matthew and Daniel Shapiro, and brother Sam Abramovitch and sister-in law Michele Drouin of Montreal.
